Iv tried liverpool victorias online quote system and it wont give me one.

Im just wandering around what price 3rd FTP would be on a manual standard UK car for a 20 year old with 3 years no claims? As im hoping to own a Zed by the time im 21 as i love it to bits :hyper:

Cheers

Dan.

I got mine when I was 21 and it was around £1100

Try Tesco and Direct line, they may give you a quote.

Just tried Tesco and it ses ring up.

Iv only just turned 17 and have practical in a month, have a Bravo atm but have always had a love for a Zed ever since dad got one, hence why im on here:D.

1100 isnt as much as i was thinking. Quite surprizing actually. Is that partially due to the age of the car?

Cheers

Dan.

You might not get 3PF+F on a zed as there's a cut off on groups. The only option would be a classic policy, but you'd have to use the zed as a second car. ANd sorry to say Dan, but the Liverpool postcode is not going to go down well with the insurers either.

I have full no claims, I'm 40 and I have a Manchester postcode. Cheapest quote was £995 FC

er, but that was declaring +50BHP and various other mods (of course)

hi dan good luck with your test, am 20 with 1yr ncb and i cdnt find any insurance anywher for less than £3000, trust me i rang absolutely everyone

in the end i kept my insurance on th banger so i still build my no claims bonus and made my mum the owner driver of th zed, me additional and still came out to £1500!

Dan, you'll have to ring most companies mate, it's the insurance group that does it. It's probably quicker than filling in web forms anyway, most of the time!

I got TPF&T quotes from quite a few places when I was struggling (but then found Houghton's)

(And no, Houghton's don't do 17yo!)

But Houghtons have every Manchester Postcode at Maximum premium, I'm sure Liverpool will be tarred with the same unrealistic brush. My quote from Houghtons was nearly twice what I'm now paying!

Ah, but in Liverpool's case, it's not unrealistic. :) :nelson:

at 20 i paid about £2000 with no NCB (FPF&F) (sabre)

at 21 I paid about £1350 with 1 years NCB (FPF&F) (Insure shop/sabre)

at 22 I pay about £1024 with 2 years NCB (Fully comp) (admiral)

sabre is your best bet as a young driver. I've always had my own policy.

first of all i don't live in liverpool, (not far away) and quote from houghtons

for my tt £205 fully comp, classic

i travel to bolton once a week to last drop village (and thats supposed to be a better part), and we can get into all kind of postcode arguements, you pay??

bolton being the asylum seekers mecca probably doesn't help, AND being part of greater manchester, bumps your insurances right up, so unrealistic yes it is,

we can tar any place in the country with myths, ie london and manchester are THE highest crime areas in the country, but as nigelboyd says, cos he has a manchester postcode, is HE an automatic risk??

according to his postcode he is, what a sad world

I used to live in a cul-de-sac at the foot of the hill going up to Last Drop - never lived anywhere so swish in my life... but Houghton's wouldn't insure me at all there! I ended up paying 1100 ish with Privilege (modded car.)

I've moved a mile up the A666 and I now pay ~700 with Houghton's including SD&P - couldn't get classic due to postcode.

The daily driver is only about 50 quid cheaper, so it's bye bye Swinton's in 2 weeks' time...

Apparently the worse place in the country for car jacking is Blackburn.

Doesn't surprise me in the least. I used to drive through there if coming back from Yorkshire / NE - I don't any more, I go along to the 675 instead! Normally it's nice to have people looking at the Z as you drive past, but it wasn't a nice kind of looking, know what I mean?
