Went to Halfords, and invested in a 3tonne speedlift hydraulic jack - I can highly recommend them.. However - take a mate with you.. I can barely lift it on my own! (The back end of the Renault went down about 2" when I put it in the boot, it's *that* heavy)..
My top tip for jacking the car up - drive the front onto some 2x4" planks, then the jack goes straight under the front, onto the crossmember and jack in the middle
Changed the oil (Mobil1 15w50), oil filter, and fuel filter.. Sliced my hand open nicely doing that one!
Started the car up and within about 5 seconds the tappets all shut up nicely Lovely jubbley!
Now I just need to locate the coolant leak (drivers turbo feed I think ), and stop the PS reservoir outlet weeping , sort the boost gauge out which mysteriously stopped working when I had the dash out, and do the spark plugs (Just *how* far down there are they!?)..
Spent another afternoon working on the car..

For another day I think!
