Had an awful day today,well week really after the terrible events in the US, today I realised just how thin the line is between life and death!

 

Just after 12pm this lunchtime one of my staff, a great guy by the name of Ian had a seizure, he's a big guy over 6'5 and 27 stone.

 

he hit the floor with a fair bang, as we tried to help him he swallowed his tounge and started to choke, we called the paramedic's, he then stopped breathing, we had to get him breathing again, but his jaw was locked, had to use a wooden spoon to get it open.

 

Luckily we all have had good 1st aid training, we got him to breath again, 10 min later it was like it never happened, we had him away to hospital for checks, and he's fine.

 

It really shook me up that's the first time I've nearly lost a member of my team, hopefully it will be the last, thank God that we got the big lad going again.

 

Tonight I wish I did drink and I'd get well plastered but instead I'll just share this one with you guys...........

It's been a strange week.

I'm not my usual self either and have not done a thing at work all week.

I think all right-thinking people are a little more humble now.

If it takes what has happened in the US and what happened to you to make us all better people, even just short-term , then there is a positive in a world full of negatives.

And dude, epilepsy is no major deal, scary yes, but you all did the right thing and got the guy stable.

Trust me, and I know on this one, treat Ian just the same. He will always thank you for that.

You remind me so much of a good friend I have, he works as an Officer in Broadmoor, big bloke but soft as shite, and just wants a good women, hell we all do.

Especially in times like these....

You Aaron are a top bloke and Im a good judge of character, and I mean this in the best possible way, I had the most SHIT existence with a lassie for 5 years.. 5 years of bottle throwing, drunken abuse (from her to me), lies, deceit, infedility and old fashioned bullshit.

I wanted NOTHING to do with the fairer sex ever again.

Then into my life walked my new wife, 20 months ago, she is everything any man could want; loyal, trusting, loving, honest, moral and a great bedroom fun pup.

And if I can get coupled with such a fine woman, then anyone can...it is sometimes easy to forget how much my family means to me on occasion, but this weeks events and talking on 300zx.co.uk put it all into persective Az, and I wish you all the very best in finding your soulmate. And you will.
