Woo hoo! Brake Disc Kit is here from over the Pond!!! LARGE!!!

Big CheerZ goes out to me mate Phuong GR Racing in the States.

Sent a 71lb package last Thursday and got a phone call from Manc Land airport this morning.

Just waiting to find out how much I'm gonna get stung in charges(about 30 squid for airport handling) and Duty, VAT etc.

Excellent!

Nice one so whats the entire total all in cost of that? and are you goiong to get se to fit the lot?

Not sure of total cost yet Warren, waiting for the guyZ at Manc airport to give me a breakdown of charges. They're gonna clear the stuff for me at a cost of 30 squid in handling.

If I could be arsed to do it myself and go over to Customs and fill out the forms it would be 25 squid...not much in it!

Duty and VAT will be the hard hitter I reckon, got pretty much away with it on the Techtom and ASP pulley so will be interesting to see how much I have to bite for this time!!!

Gonna get Kwik Fit to fit it all...NOT!

Not SE, they've got enough on with my car at the mo, will find someone else to do the biz once the car's back! Along with all the other stuff, ASP pulley etc. Might try Johnny and Hiteq...we'll see!

So 71lb must just be disks and perhaps fluid. Be interesting to see how they compare with the cross drilled Brembo's I've just acquired.

Perhaps we could have a fitting orgy at my gaff, the same time as the TC ....

MAD FOR IT!

Don't say that...should be stainless brake lines and pads in with that lot aswell...hoping!

Me again. I have a source for cross drilled Brembos. Cost is $250 per set (of four) if we order 5 sets. Bummer is that the postage is $100 per set. Metal Matrix pads are also available at pretty reasonable rates, but I'm leaning towards EBC Greenstuff at the moment.

If a company is marketing them as Brembo, they're yanking your chain. Brembo doesn't make a stock-size xdrilled or slotted rotor. Companies take the Brembo blank rotor and do their own drilling, so the rotor is only as good as the company that does it.

Hmmm, looks like I may be finding out how good they are. I know they are a Brembo dealer and I know they do the drilling them selves, and that they're coming from Canada.

Sounds like they are the KVR rotors.
