Tuning the Non-turbo

Hi there,

I can buy a non-turbo for little money from a 300zx and would like to know what power upgrades suit the engine best. The engine is 107.000 miles old and I will strip the block down and overhaul it, so things like a knife-edged crank, light weight flywheel and pulley will be done anyway.

But what do I do for more power? It will not be fitted to an z32 but to a s13, so an custom head-back exhaust with a Super drager will be fitted along with Apex'i filters.

But that's as far as I know. Is it possible to increase the compression ratio and fit value for money oversized pistons (are they availabel?) and is there anything possible with the camshafts (-pulley's) and the head? Will it be safe to polish the intake manifold and head?

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,

Rudi.
