Stopped making these in japan the year 2000.

They stopped making them in 2000 but maybe some were not sold or registered until 2002.

 

True, but that seems pretty unlikely as I think it would have had to sit around from approx 1995 as a UK car. If it was a Jap import, then unless it was declared new at the time of import then it would have a plate of appropriate age. Is it possible that it was (like someone else said) a G52 xxx or perhaps a funny personal plate ?

Yeah I thought if could have been one registered in 2002 or one that had been written off maybe :confused: But yeah could have been anything really.
