anyway, what i wanted to know was who was the brain child of this forum. how did it all come about etc etc....just interested.

I think it was 2 people Craig and Nico who started a little forum on Bravenet forum which was very basic.

;) Myself, Timmy Turbo and 300z are infamous as aggressive arguers in the past.

 

It's crashed a few times. Then we had 2 pay - now it's quieter than ever.

 

Oh and andyduff is the technical man !

ok the history of the forum as far as I know...

 

Craig and Nico ran it

Nico dissapeared

Craig ran it on his own hardware, which was crap and it was also on borrowed time on the network.

Craig then bought new hardware and put it onto a better network

the hardware broke so it went on a holiday to the USA for a few months on borrowed, then it came back onto borrowed hardware at the current UK network. We are currently waiting to purchase a new server so we can get it onto its final resting place :).

 

The forum is now run by a commitee, it is no longer a forum, it is now a club, people are working hard to offer more to the members.

 

anything more to add? this is very breif.

i miss wazza pound for pound he was always entertaining and when teamed up with duffer these two are without a doubt piss funny.............nico was a good egg as well

yeah, I think I just caught the end of the Bravenet bit, never actually posted on it though as it seemed to come and go depending on the weather ! ;)

Ahhh Bravenet, those were the days. Yeah I remember there was Nico, Shorty, Hairsy, Bilky, Bob, Rodders, Craig and amongst others. You're all spoilt rotten with this forum, we never had fancy stuff like PM's and rides sections. It was just the one forum and some pics of our first meet in Nottingham, taken with Nico's Kodak brownie. You had to drive your Z careful in those days, trams and horse & carts were everywhere. And everything was in black & white too!

me & duff founded "mad friday" which occoured a few times, which i found highly amusing mainly due to the fact i was spaced out on heavy duty painkillers at the time, but we got many complaints for our childish antics! :nono:

That sounds like a good idea to write something on the history, dates etc. I would like to know too.

 

Haven't been on that long really but seems like a good time to thank everyone for all their help and making me laugh quite often! I have made some excellent mates on here.

I hope I have helped people as much as I can.....and made them chuckle too....and don't forget the HOMIES!!!!

Highlights of our first meet in Nottingham :

 

Bob had BoVs on an auto if I remember rightly.

 

Bob had disco lights AND a smoke machine in his car

 

Nico's car was actually running - shortly afterwards it went off the road for a decade.

 

I was complimented on my neat phone holder. I was big into mods in those days.

 

That was the day when I first discovered quite how scarey Z brakes could be when I completely lost all friction while chasing Rodders through Nottingham.

 

The highlight of my day was being pulled because I left the pub sideways - after EVERYONE else had done exactly the same.

 

The write up of that meet is probably somewhere. Anyone know ?
