After reading the Daily Mail this morning reporting on the tragic events yesterday there is a picture of a white Zed crushed and on fire outside the pentagon. The pictures of people jumping to there deaths to escape the fires in the twin towers just beggars belief!!!

I hope whoever is responsable gets whats coming to them.

Was horrified watching the events unfold yesterday...never seen anything like that in my life...even during the Gulf War! Our minehunter was one of the first to access Kuwait after the war and most of our ships company managed to see first hand the devastation. Saw the Basrah road where all the cars were abandoned and on fire after the Iraqi's legged it, buildings with shell holes riddled through them...but nothing quite like what happened in New York yesterday!

 

Question is what will be the consequences???

Could kick off a world recession amongst other things. $63 Billion knocked of the stock market yesterday i think and due to get worse from reports.

People have been worrying about these people getting hold of chemical and nuclear weapons but it could not have been much worse than what has happened if they had.

Something has to be done but retaliation against these sort of people will only create more of them.

Thats religion for you...

Nah, came out in Feb '92, was well pissed when the Gulf flared up. I was at Whitehall when I handed me notice in(18 months) and then was looking forward to a nice cushy draft to some Tonne Class Mine sweeper in Pompey for the rest of me days!

 

Then Gulf flared up and my Pompey draft got cancelled...ended up heading for Rosyth to leave for the Gulf for Op Granby! Luckily the war ended while we were in transit throught the Med. in Feb. I think...but still saw some horrendous sights and lovely Kuwaiti BBQ's in the shape of burning Oil Wells...LARGE!
