okay guys remember a while ago i did that big order for key blanks? well it arrived this morning and i got to say they are verrrry nice (miles better than mine anyway)! :dance:

 

took me ages to work these out but here are the prices (not inc. P+P to your home):

Master/Black Key £5.25

Valet/Red Key £4.45

Gear Knob £25.20 [buz (phil smith) only]

Center Trim Cover £6.10 [scottywill only]

Shipping 40p per £1 (yes! 40 f*kin pence, sorry guys)

 

below is the list i had from before, i need all you guys to email me asap(yp11@le.ac.uk) with your ADDRESSES, USERNAMES, NAMES and CONTACT NUMBERS so that i can send them to you. everyone who emailed me before i will try and email you with all these details later:

ok guys just went and had mine cut, and they both work and th red 1 is DEFINATELY a valet key, (tried it on th glove box n dnt work, works th ignition tho)

th essential differnce detween th two keys is th center strip of th actual key which is sticking out towards you is thicker on th master and thinner on th valet key

If you're having keys cut, take care who does it.

My local Timpsons had two goes at duplicating my standard key with no success either time.

Was in my local Nissan dealers today, ordering a clip. When i asked him about cutting these keys, he asked me if I had the key number, well I havent, so he told me he couldnt do it. :shock:

 

How the hell am I going to find the key number, it's an import, with two aftermarket keys :confused:

 

By the way, i havent received an e-mail Yas, mi cheques waiting to be posted to you, just got to add the amount :D :hyper:

hi, ive got a 92 import and a bit ago i got my key cut at a market its perfect ,u should have no probs!!!!

a dealer will be able to get the key no from looking at your old key ( if the nob behind the counter knows what he is doing). Or if not then he can put your old key into the cutting machine that they use and get the code that way

TBH Kevin, as soon as I said that I already had the keys, I think he switched off..... and the word nob is about right i think. Wait and see whether they get my clip tomorrow.

 

But I am worried about having these cut, especially if they (any key cutter) ****'s these up, thats an expensive why to end up with somthing useless :nono: Might see how much it is to have a normal aftermarket key cut at the cutters, if it's cheap enough, will get them to cut a practice one, then if thats ok, get them to cut these ones :D

dave thats a load of bull, i just went to some local guy and he cut BOTH my keys for a quid and they both work fine! they actually work betta than th $hitty other 1s i had cos with those th key would come out of th barrel with th car on and th new ones now dont!
