What`s the thoughts on using a salvaged engine oil cooler off a zed for using as a cooler for the auto box?? have seen a few in breakers ..cheap..WAIT!!.did I say cheap and zed in the same sentence??? no no no

Thought about retaining the rad cooler part and adding the cooler in line wouln`t of thought there is much difference between coolers?? Jeff TT

That might not be a bad idea actually, AndyP is the man to speak to as he's got an SE upgraded AUTOBOX cooler...did I say AUTO then...LMAO! You know Andy don't yer Jeff?

I think they're a bit smaller than the one I had fitted by SE, but they are about the right shape. No sure whether the oil pressure is the same in the filters though. I recollect that the engine coller has a bypass valve in case it gets blocked or something. (Is this correct)

 

Should you see a UK spec Zed in a breakers with a diff cooler then I'd be interested in getting that fitted to my Jap spec diff.
