Between you, you contributed £155 towards the Zmen's charity.
I know I haven't been on to say much about it but I have had a busy week even though I have thrown the occasional post in here and there. Anyway, here's the low down.
I receieved a cutting from the local Stoke paper about the event and apparently, the final figures looked like this. Over £10,000 was raised for 9 different charities including the Royal National Life Boat Institute, Breast Cancer Research, Staffordshire Air Ambulance and ofcourse The Cheathams Children's Hospital(Oncology Ward).
Acumilatively, over the 24 hours, the karts covered nearly 6000 miles, which equated to over 30,000 laps. We also set a new world record that the Guiness Book of records has recognised.
No doubt, Mike Clews(Beamer 2) earned a pint or 2 after the event, but his sons, one in particular(Ollie I think), also was a top man on the day. Thanks guys.
Had great fun and lots of pain(stick have bruised ribs), but it's for the kids so it's all good!
Thanks
Cos
