I think it is embarrassing that the most famous racing Supra doesnt have a Supra engine ;)

Looks like noddies raring to go

Geoff.

more like master tubby bear!

(Yes, I have a 3 year old and watch Noddy every morning!)

*cough* Hairdresser *cough* :D

I thought everyone was joking when they said you were getting a MR2. Come on mate I could except a Supra, because appart from it not looking as nice as a 300zx they're a fine motor and a lot less costly to keep. (you got to say this out loud in the manner of Peter Kay) AN MR2!! AN MR2!! poof. :slap:

If we'd have Known you were that hard up we would have had a wip round. MR2 :(

LMAO, Supra less costly to keep, your not serious are you?

Laugh all you like, but when I'm through with it, its gonna be fast as fook

And what engine do the jgtc racing Supra's use again?

Oh yes its a 3S-GTE, hmmmm wonder what car that comes as standard in....

Whopper

Yup.

You don't need the engine out to work on them. Lets face it you almost need the engine out to change your high beem bulb on the Z and performance is much of a muchness I only have a Z before a supra because I think the Z is much more beautifull. To look after properly the supra is cheeper to run and maintain.

But what car holds most of the UK track records. I think you'll find it's the Lotus and you could pick a tidey one up for less than you spent on your Z. Then you could woop all our asess on track days and make a few bob doing cut and blows. OOOWW EER

A lotus 3.5 twin turbo came to the pod with us last year

It did'nt go well for him.....

A Sinclair? ;)

I believe the c5 was powered by an N/A VG30 DE engine :p

I said I was'nt gonna turn into Roy or Senna, but all this stick - I'm gonna have to retaliaterise

That makes it a bit easier to work on, not any cheaper, logic says it's cheaper but it isn't, however, the sequential twin-turbo does make for a better setup than the bi-turbo so you only have to fork out for one huge turbo to make big power. I don't think there any cheaper to mod or fix than the Zed. I could say that the look sucks, but that's down to personal taste.

Oh and remember the extra 5K you have to fork out for a decent Supra too, imagine what you could do to a Zed with that cash?

See where I'm coming from?

Labour alone makes the Z more expensive I've been quoted as much as £1000 just to remove and replace my engine before any work is done. Yet the supre would cost around £500 and the standard Uk spec tubs will take far more than the standard Z tubs though the crank on the supra isn't as good, but the top end is much better on the Supra including the manifolds. Put it this way. If you were going to do the work yourself. which wood you prefer to work on. Take a look at both engine bays. I know which you'll be charged the most for.

If your just looking to up your motor to around 400 to 430bhp at the crank then the Z would be cheeper to tune. For serious ponies the supra is cheeper to tune.

400 - 430 is not serious? LOL, do you work for NASA? As for more than that your talking forged bits which is engine out on both counts. The only thing which I can think of which makes the Supra a better car is the straight-6 Sequential Turbo setup.

That's it for me.

I never said it was better generally I think there much the same and both expensive to run in terms of normal cars. I think the Z is nicer to look at. "Do you work at NASA" No but I used to. I worked in the Apollo Turbo Bull shit department.

Thats why I'm so at home on this site

Maybe you'll get your hair cut now you're a hairdresser!

;)

the mr2t rev3 is a well sorted motor stock it can do the 1/4 in 13.8 you cant argue with that and the latest toyota wrc will use a 3s-gte with vvti ,also the na beams vvti 3s-ge is used in formula 3000 in japan ~220hp

a z looks better though imho less refined in a good way!
