I've noticed there is a few people on here from north of the border, so does anyone fancy a meet at Crail on April 18th? Its the Japanese performance day with Banzai visiting for a feature etc. Would be nice to see some zeds there showing up all the bloody scoobies!

I have a few jobs to get done on my car which I will need to take time off work to get them all done, but I will try and make it.

Cheers John Crisp

I might be up for it.

Also there's the Aero and Auto Extravaganza at the museum of flight at East Fortune east of Edinburgh on Sunday 2nd May 2004. The zed club organised a brace of zeds from 240 to 300 last year. Thats an outdoor event.

The zed club also organised something at the custom and classic car show at Ingliston.

The zed stand last year was just next to an F40, 2 diablos and a RS6 Audi. All indoors. I kept getting requests to fire mine up just for the noise inside the building but it was a no no with the organisers - did it quietly a couple of times though. The skyline boys were there too. For charity the more interesting cars could run on the Ingliston race track giving punters a couple of laps ride for £10 all to charity. Not supposed to be at race speeds tho. Skyline guys did it and had plenty custom. There was Astons, Cobras and other interesting cars going round too.

If you exhibit your car you get free entry - my bro even got his Boxter in instead of paying for entry and parking.

Still a good reason to see other cars.

My wife has just give birth to a cracking wee boy and I might have to look at selling my Zed to get a more 'practical solution'.

Fingers crossed I can pick her up a cheapo estate car and if so I will be there - it would be good to meet a few other owners, there's a lad up the road from me just picked up a Zed too, so I'll let him know also.

I was there. Was your zed inside? Think i remember looking at it. Is it a Uk 2+2 TT with leather? I was looking at the zeds for a while, spoke to the guy from the zed club. Was speaking to the guy with the F40 aswell. Lucky bugger!

Gordon, my Mrs is giving me so much grief about my Zed as she typically see's a woman's point of view and doesnt understand why men love expensive cars. She even said if i sold my zed and cleared the loan i had and bought a banger to get me to work she could get a newer Zsara Picasso (she has an x-plate just now) ....i just made the noise like the guys in chewing the fat....f*****g good one from her.

Anyway i hope to make some of the meets like Crail or Ingleston, times and dates anyone so i can get all my jobs done in time on my 300.

Yes I was. Will need to get Colin Dick to bring his beast. Colin is one of the very few I've heard of who can swap turbos while the engine is still in the car and Colins car shifts - the red auto - 13.2 sec quarter at Crail

Congrats Gordon. Well done to the missus

Dont sell tho. Just wait till the little sod is big enough to say "faster daddy" while you are hairing round bends or roundabouts - in the dry only, of course. Makes you chuckle. Terrifies the wife tho.

Keep it safe out there

OOPS I forgot congrats Gordon , my youngest is nearly 4 now and my 3 kids love going in my car .

Cheers John Crisp

Yeah, I'll be there :)

If we can get the numbers up a bit, should we meet up? Get a wee 300zx section in the show and shine?

Yeah, we should - my company will be taking space in the show and shine anyway and my car will be there - so any other 300zxs are more than welcome to join me!

Hello again 300zx guys, I'll be going up to Crail on the 18th, sadly not in a very fast (or glamourous) car though.

I'm looking at the 200sx (late s13's and s14's 97+) right now as a cheaper alternative to the 300zx, mainly seeing what I can spend the cash on that I'd save over buying a good 300zx SWB TT (carbon fibre bonnets, nismo shocks, exhausts, the list goes on).

I still want an SWB TT badly, but I'm resigning myself to the fact that I'm still too young and too poor to be able to own and/or maintain a 300zx. (S1Jobs watch out)

Still. I'll look out for a troupe of 300zx's and pop over for a chat if I see any of you if you don't mind :D

You should check out Jocks car. Its not a TT, but from what i here its a really nice car. Well tuned so fast enough. Steal at £3k!

This Sunday guys! Hope to see some of you there.

How many of you are likely to be there on the 18th then? I'm popping up in my rover (with a for sale sign :hyper: ) in the hope that somebody will give me money to buy a faster car.

PS, anybody planning to use the Forth Road bridge (Like me) should be aware that there are road works happening and major delays are expected. I think work starts today.

More info here.

Take the kincardine route mate. Its a lot shorted anyway!

Wouldnt go near the forth road bridge!

Ta for the tip ;)

PS, if anyone see's this debadged monstrosity:

roverload-sig.jpg

I regret it belongs to me. So point anyone that looks like they've got money in its direction so I can get shot of it :D

How much you lookin for it mate? gf might be interested

Kincardine - Kinross - Cupar - Pitscottie.

Much quicker - especially in summer when the coast road's full of Sunday drivers.

Well I have my lower limit but I'm currently looking (hoping) for around the £2500 mark.

-Car has components, 6x9's and MP3 HU, all Alpine. (Installed by professionals)

-17" Wolfrace Alloys. Correct offset etc.

-Lowered ±55mm on AVO Adjustable Coilovers.

-Debadged grille, boot handle and all other Rover badges removed.

-K&N Induction Kit (has seen better days)

-52mm Alloy Throttle Body from a ZR160 (replaced 48mm plastic jobby).

Recent additions are:

-New headlights minus the orange indicator card you can see in the pic.

-I've currently got the front grille and boot handle off for repainting, hopefully they'll be back on for Crail

Obviously, being ±7 years old it isn't in A1 condition tho :(

It depends what your GF is prepared to put up with, I've got the coilovers set on full soft, and have had for the past 6 months cos the roads round here just didn't agree with too hard a setting. Aslo, as you can imagine, you need a pretty friendly insurance co. to get a decent premium.

Cheers mate, ill let her know. Maybe have a wee look on sunday.
