My Zed Tuning Update

Got my Zed back from Pete, took it for a drive and ......

:D :D :D :D :D

Ok that's enough big smiles for now - seems like you are very limited on the number of smileys you can post.

Zed is much improved from before with a much smoother curve of acceleration. No audible det, no matter how hard I tried. The top end power is back and the car easily goes beyond 7000 rpm, although haven't tried it in 5th. Went hunting for the rev limiter and I think Pete has set it to around 7500 rpm.

Very very happy with the setup of the car now, I just need to see how it is in 5th gear.

A point of interest is the car feels much more positive, but I am still not over the 400bhp barrier, I suspect the torque figure is up a bit.

When Pete dropped off the car, he kind of gave me the keys and legged it, so I've gotta go back in the week to collect my RR graph and chat about the breathing issue.

Another bonus is my GRP bonnet has't come off yet. I have not been able to give it a proper look over as Pete dropped the car off in the dark, I will check tomorrow.

Bye for now, a very happy Eddie.

Apart from lotsa mods, this time Pete finished off the ECU mapping. Waited quite a long time for it but I'me glad it's done.

Although some off the shelf chips work well, I feel it's worth getting a custom map done, especially if you've got a few engine mods. With a good engine tuner you can get the most out of your car.
