How much power will my car have at the wheel when its finished?

Just a bit of fun, because I am stuck in work watching 3 international football matches. :(

How much do you think my car engine will produce at the wheels when its finished?

Its a manual.

The spec will be

87.5mm Wiseco Pistons,

555cc Injectors,

Dual POP with Apexi filters on,

JWT ECU (Setup for 555cc and Dual POP)

Lightly Unorthodox Racing Pullie

Stock Turbos with uprated internals

Greddy Intercoolers,

AVC-R.

It already has on

Mongoose exhaust,

Decat pipes,

With all that new Harness, lifters, O2 sensors etc, so it should be running well

Vote how much you think AT THE WHEEL it will have.

Just a bit of fun.

Depends on where you have it dyno'd

If its a SE then about 150 bhp :)

If you ship over to the states then 650 bhp

So i dont know mate....how much are you after, you must have an idea roughly what you want.

What boost you gonna run??

I think you should be pushing 360-380 at the wheels at that boost

Don't take this wrong... (I'd say) you can't just bolt the bits together, fit an off the shelf chip and expect it to make good power. For what you're forking out on bits, and the time you're putting into it, it'd make real sense to get it set up and mapped properly by someone who knows what they're doing. This bit won't cost you a fortune, but it'll make all your hard work worthwhile.

The plan is when it is "bolted together" ;) I will take it to probably Thor to have a custom chip made. I hear there may be a place local which can do it too.

Stu, why isn't there a 'not enough' box to select on the poll!???

I think you will be looking at about 400 at the wheels (no I'm not american :D )

see, that's just what I meant. whatever you pick it still won't be enough!!

its never gonna work again!!!!! , but at least it will look fkin ace in purple!

LOL

There is never enough power is there?

0 BHP after it blows up (sorry, cudn't resist !)

If it does blow up, it will be your fault.

huh?? why are you going for 555's & twin intakes on stock tubs??

Thats why I asked the question.

Must admit I was thinking the same?

So everything is ready for when I can install larger turbos

So everything is ready for when I can install larger turbos

Well I don't think it will run too well with that set up and stock tubs.

So everything is ready for when I can install larger turbos

LOL!! ok, so you've spent the money now on those mods, then youve gotta pull the engine again to install tubs at a later date!?!?

erm, why didny you put the money youve spent on 555's & twin intakes into a savings account & buy them with the turbos???

your choice i guess! :)

Why do you need 555's with stock turbo's?????

Better spoolup, less lag between changes, protection against det, ability to run higher boost .....

with all due respect, higher boost & no det, im running 16psi on stock tubs & injectors - pretty much as far as id wanna take stock tubs anyway.

less lag & better spoolup?? unless were saying the stock AFM is that restrictive for stock tubs then i cant see it making any difference at all, or at the best a very minimal change.

i still say putting the money into savings would have been better, then buy the tubs as well. :)

Yeah, I know what you're saying about the 555's, probably is a bit OTT, but the 370's are marginal, so any slight blockage etc. could push it over the edge. It never hurts to have the reserve anyway.

As for the stock AFM being restrictive, it's just a case that sucking the air through 2x 2.5" inlets instead of 1 is bound to give less pressure drop therefore better spoolup + the flow path is much cleaner. For all it costs to make one (2 bends, some pipe and another filter) then why not?

I do take your point about better spending the cash though.

I have never laughed so much in all my life

I love everyones idea on why if and what is best:D Stock injectors are MORE than enough for STOCK turbos, the turbos will run out of puff long before lack of fuel all IMHO;)

So why do people say dont go over 1 bar with stock turbos because they dont supply enough fuel.

Make up your minds people.
