Automatics have the following advantages over manuals....

 

1. Make driving easier

2. Allow for faster gear changes in most cases. (can be made faster by fast road box upgrade - ask MAC1)

3. Much better in traffic

4. Gearboxes take less punishment

5. No lunched clutches.

6. Car puts you in the optimum gear (doesn't depend on skill of driver as with manual)

 

Manuals have the following advantages over automatics....

 

1. More control over gear changes

2. Less power lost in gearbox - potentially better fuel economy, but largely depends on how it's driven.

3. Slightly less weight

4. Closer to racing car feel and setup, but many race cars now have semi-automated manual box, so not completely true.

 

 

So you makes your choice..........................
