ebay auction

I've asked this before about another car, but like a load of people do I have a look on eBay now and again to see what people are selling. This car has been on and off eBay for months now, and obviously no buyer...

The guy has supposedly spent about £8500 on the car...but no receipts to prove it. It's supposed to be up for features in 'several car magazines' but he's getting rid of it for £6500? I know (by experience!) you can buy a car then have to sell it because you run out of money, suddenly need cash to stop killing yourself with debt etc, I just wondered what was wrong with it? Too specialised/modded too much? Anyone seen it or even gone to look?

:slap: cant see what or where he spent the £8,500 on if all the stuff was on it when it was imported.........:(

That was how it was when I got it from that point on I started to spend money on her first the lowering had to be sorted out so £1300 later it was This was done by JPS in Milton Keynes, next the engine and box had £3500 thrown at them work was done by a number of different firms next the body kit was removed sprayed and re-fitted properly another £1750 work done by Lion in Milton Keynes, next a pile of after market performance parts bought from both Japan and the USA around £2300 then rolling road set-ups and other bits came to another £900 after that the ICE was upgraded around £500 most of this was done without recipts to avoid other charges ect but phone calls can be made to check work done.

thats where money was spent

Well not sure, but you get that feeling dont ya :( one thing, why does the interior look rough(what bit you can see.)Why no reciepts, who did engine work!if it was mine i sure would have every scrap of paper to show whats been done, like we all would, sod phoning round to speak to god knows who to get the history,PITA,and to be honest if it was in great condition i would ask a lot more,.There again i could be wrong, needs looking at closely!

God mate.....all that and you selling...:( i am just selling my car i modded for 2 yrs and spent £6k on her, but since i got into my head i want a Z....its just gone all out the window....Pete Shrimp has seen mine.

Just hope you get what ya want for it mate...i know i havent...:(

Good luck Matt

I see, sorry to hear you selling, but why no reciepts, your losing money becouse of that :( and as i stated below,it seems strange when reading the add on ebay, bound to put people off, becose end of the day there buying blind on the work done.Worth a lot more IMHO than £6500 :(

I'm getting confused now-does this car belong to someone on here? I would have thought it would be worth a lot more IF it is all ok and working. I am sure I have seen this car a couple of times on eBay before and obviously it didn't sell- someone bid on it then went to look and found out it wasn't what it was cracked up to be?

I'm not going to bid, just looking out of curiosity. A lovely blue 2 seater went for about £3500 not long ago but again, without going to look, you couldn't buy blind. If that one had been as good as it looked, I would have gone for it. If I still had any cash. Still want a TT, still got an NA, but I have learned to love my NA now.
