Whats a fair price

What would you say was a fair trade in price for the K Reg Fairlady import twin turbo Automatic, 89,000km Well maintained, fancy pearlesent red (inside andout). Full mot. Imported last year.

Trying to decide if this dealer is in line. We were going to trade for a Manual import, but the gear box on this has gone!!! They drove it from Liverpool to Bradford in 2nd gear

Still looking for a manual so was on the net today and now think this dealer was a bit low.

Any comments appreciated :)

Zeds go from anything from £3.5k to £11k in the trader, if its from a dealer id expect you to pay at least £6k for a good un. If your lucky you can pick up a bargain privately (eh Matty!!!) If your unlucky you can get shafted over by a dealer who sells you a dog and dissappears!! (eh Matty!!!!)

Too right berks mate!!

1st Z I ever brought...........£4.5k for an N/A shed and a half!! Dealer fluffed off........(Sahill Motors in Nottingham who ARE part of http://www.veilside.co.uk, so avoid)

2nd Z I brought...........£6.3k very nice UK TT now in the hands of Chunk (aka Rich) via KeithS, had to sell due to running out of money and blowing the autobox!! Repaired and had to sell to pay it off.... :(

3rd Z I brought is pukka and an absolute bargain at £3k!! ;) (Did I mention that??) :D sweet as a nut (touch wood!) and never selling it! :)

Prices are only what people would pay, I'd pay (if I had the money) £12.5k for Tony's (Lack300) Z, you won't find better IMO.........Z's are funny price wise, some bargins (like mine) for £3k but you can buy a real dog for £6k at dealers....

Ditto again.

Thanks for the comments. Our car has a good spec, no real additions and the guy is offering us £4k for it.

BTW Left the screen up for my man to read your comments couldnt get him past the blonde! He didn't realise the site was so much fun!!!

Glad to see youapprove of the blonde Sue, Note to 300zx.co.uk womens rights movement, female forum member NOT offended b the sexy sigs!!!!!!

Good on ya Sue

Didnt realise you meant selling to a dealer and not buying from one, i guess £4k from a dealer is quite a good offer, but bear in mind he will be selling it for £6k!!! ....barstards!

I reckon £4k from a delaer is a good offer - but is that dependent on you buying another one off him ? - if it is, prolly not too good, as he'll ask about £6k for a similar car from you !
