Thanks to Stu for helping me to re-fit my 99 front on saturday.

Nice one mate...........pics wouldn't have looked so good otherwise!

Great looking car mate, hope I can get my own Silver Machine looking as good someday! :)

Was never very fond of them myself, but they look the part on your car mate, I'd keep them. It may look a little plain without them.

The only problem is, you're gonna need to mod the engine a little more so you can put one or two more above the others ;).

Well, the WingsWest one was due to go on as you know but didn't in the end. Brembo maybe and/or MSD.

LOL.........yeah! get mate out of the car next time. ;)

Hi James,

The car is looking very nice ... I'm glad you posted these pics because I've been considering putting a 99-spec bumper on mine (which is silver as well) and your pics have given me a great visual of the end result.

Questions: your car looks lowered - how much and on what equipment? Did you get the camber corrected, if so using what equipment?

How did you get on with the chromed speedometer rings? Would appreciate a pic if you can ...

Cheers mate!

Hiya Danny,

Yes it is lowered. I was after a set of springs that would lower it quite a bit. Mike @ MJP does some great springs that you can specify the drop and stiffness upratedness (if that makes sense) but I wanted progressive springs so went for a set of AVO's. They lowered it about 30/35mm IIRC. I am really pleased with them. Good price too, I went direct to AVO and they were about £140ish but someone on here can get them double cheap - can't remember who I'm afraid. A search will reveal all I reckon.

I stuck with renewing the shocks with just standard Nissan.

Have had these on now for must be a couple of years and had no prblem with excessive or uneven tyre wear, so haven't bothered with any kind of camber correction.

Haven't fitted the speedo rings yet but am really keen to do so, they will look excellent. With my silver clocks and blue digits I know mine will look superb! Will get on it asap.

TT Tim has fitted his and posted a pic - did you see that?

Sorry to say they are 8" all round. But I have 235's on the front and 255's on the rear. And the rear tyres dont bulge out at all, I would no way of had that. So at least they are wider rubber on the rears.

Thanks for the info James. I've been considering AVO's and getting in touch with Tony Lack for a good price ... Tony if you read this drop me a line mate! ... Having dropped the car 30~35 mm do you find it more difficult to pass over speed bumps and driveways, etc? I would imagine that since you're running 18" wheels that the car only sits about 5~10mm lower than the stock car (if I've done my math correctly). I just think that lowering the car slightly fills the wheel arches much better.

Cheers matey!

Don't they do them wider then???

They still look sweet as tho'!!!

Danny - regular speed bumps are ok, some ba5tard ones might cause a little scrape. Steep driveways are a no-no. And yes, they fill the arch so much nicer!!

Nismo - no, they didn't come wider, I would've got 'em otherwise!! Was after the trusty 8" front/10 rear combo but was struggling to find a wheel I liked.....and I looked, let me (or anyone else) tell you!! I looked till I couldn't look anymore! LOL.
