If there are any designers and or printers out there that can help out, fantastic!!

 

What the we need are some flyers promoting the club, so we can pop them onto another Zeds windscreen we see parked up. Also to hand out at Billing and maybe give some to traders who can put them in packages being sent to Zed owners!

Sounds like a good idea! Are we gonna give out a few copys to members to put on other zeds we see? and i'll have a go at desighning one if you want, but not sure if it will be any good!

I think it might be better if we put the design on the forum so that members can print of a few copies whenever they need them?

Smart thinking Mark, I will also drop some off at the Z garage I used - I know he's got some Zeds to sell as well as his own.

Mark, shoot me an email of what you want on these flyers, 4 col, single sided A5 flyers are seriously cheap these days if run out on a digi-press. For example: A5 250 x single sided full colour = £108.50 + Carriage + VAT.

 

I'll try and help, if not I'll gladly tell you what format/software package is accepted by the printers, i can also create HiRes PDFs that can be downloaded if people want to print their own.

Wasnt meant to be funny tim, its just if i can get them printed for nothing it save peoples ink or the clubs dosh. If you could design something in quark or something like that then no probs we have mac etc so i should be able to print them out.

NP m8, if fact I just came back to my Computer to edit my post as I didn't want it too sound arsey!

 

I don't know if I'll have time to design something myself, as I'm very busy but as I said i'll gladly help anyone who does get something designed.

Dont worry about it tim, most of the people we deal with are snowed under at the moment, but i'm sure there's plenty of people who can knock something up.

 

Lets have a painting comp, tony hart style, winner gets a set of coloured pens :p

What message are we trying to get across on these flyers?

What would be the main 'thrust' of the flyer?

Possibly, a) Sharing of techical knowledge and help to all the members

b) A select group of quality traders allowed on the forum

c) A great discussion area on a variety of subjects

d) Regional 'meets' organised between members

e) A commitment from the administrators and members to helping all it's members.

f) One of the big selling points of this club is the tremendous amount of activity, in many instances members desperate for help have their questions answered within a few minutes. This does not happen on most other forums. In many instances I have monitored the dialogue between people asking for advice and noticed people local to the person with a "poorly" have offered to come over and lend a hand.

g) This is a growing organisation, and one of the finest automotive forums in the UK

 

These are a few of my thoughts, I do a bit of desktop publishing on the side, using Photoshop, Corel Draw, Quark, etc. I also have a high quality 24" wide roll feed colour plotter that is excellent for very small quantity photos, posters etc., that I could use for the odd poster that you might need for special occassions (free of charge)

 

I would be happy to draft some samples up, if anyone would like me to. If so, add some of your thoughts to my list.

I think that is a compliment to the people on the forum and the aim with which Craig set out to construct the forum!
