A strange water leak

After a drive and when the engine is off i can hear the sound of water dripping. Its sounds as if its dripping onto the exhaust/AIV pipes and evaporates. I have had a quick look under the car and can see that it is coming from a plastic tube coming out of the bulk head. It tends to drip slowly for a about 5 minutes and then stop. I originally thought it was some sort of drainage pipe but after a quick look through the forum it looks as if a heater matrix pipe should be attached to it.

The weird thing is the water level does not seem to have dropped, the heater works fine and no wet carpet. It has been like this a few months now, could it have causes any engine damage?

I will investigate it further tonight and see if i have any unattached/missing pipes but just thought i would run it you guys and see what you thought.

Cheers
