Did anyone see the program about speed cameras the other night. I missed it but I've been told that they said at the end that if anyone knew of any Cameras not meeting the governments critiria they would remove them.

1) does anyone Know the critiria?

2) If we are aware of synically placed revenue collecting machines

( speed camaras placed to collect money not save lives)

Then why don't we name them and get other clubs to do the same and

send them to the BEEB

I'm no eco terrorist but, I have got to the point where I don't know anyone who has not been done by these things. Including my mother and she's a pensioner FFS.

Oh ye and what happen to 10% discrepancy. Mother 32mph, wife 32mph, outlaw (mother inlaw) 31mph, lad in office 43mph FCOL since when were we under Martial law :nono: :nono:

Hey mark, surely they didnt get done for doing 32 and 31?? thats totaly outragous!

Assuming the speed limit was 30 they cant get done for such a trivial amount over.

They should have ignored the NIP , but its too late now, sadly.

I saw that program and yes the transport minister has said he'll remove any cameras that dont fit the criteria. Just email details to ITV not BBC.

The trouble is the criteria is heavily biased in their favour!! so they can continue extorting money. Not many things make me madder than these ****ers!!

Go to http://www.abd.org.uk theres an article on the criteria on the home page today.

Hi Trevz

Yep my mother never been done in her life and was caught on camera. The problem is they send a letter saying you've been caught speeding if you pleed guilty we'll let you off with a £60 fine and three points, but if you go to court and loose we can fine you upto £1000 + court cost. So what will most people do?

The Wife, the outlaw and the lad that works with me were all caught in North Wales where their operating a policy of no tolerance to speeding. That means they brake the law everyday by denying people their civil liberties and by doing people when they don't even have aright to. Problem is most magistrates haven't got a clue of the law and generaly follow CPS or Police advice. Which as we all know is exactly to the law and none biased

My understanding is that there is going to be a full review of all speed cameras throughout the UK this summer, although im a bit sceptical about how effective this will be considering this review was supposed to be done when each and every camera was implemented...

In theory you can get done for doing 31 in a 30. But if you take it to court it will get thrown out.

The 10% +3mph is a guide line and not actually a law and it is up to each police force to say what allowance of error they give.
