Hello,

I've migrated briefly from the 200SX board to try and find out whether the air flow meter is the same on the Twin Turbo and the Normally Aspirated Versions of the 300ZX.

Can anyone help me?

Does anyone know what the throat diameter is of the AFM?

Thanks,

Jezz.

Well.. I know the AFM is interchangeable between the Z32 and the GTIR....

The plot thickens...

What I now need to know is whether the AFM off a 85 NA 300zx is the same as the AFM from the Turbo of the same year.

And do the part numbers

A36000014 and 431223 and the letters IECS mean anything to anyone?

Basically I'm trying to source a big AFM from a 300 to experiment with on a 200sx.

Please help me.

Jezz.

Jez, done a lot of work years ago with the s12 and s13, you can fit the 300 zx air flow meter, it has already been done, the electrical block on the side does come off and can be swapped, only do this though if your up in the high 200bhp mark, or higher, also you may need either uprated fuel pump or injectors or better still mapping, uni-chip works well on your car. ooppps, sorry the throat size i think is 90mm, therefore about 20mm larger, good upgrade, Smithy

Cheers Smithy,

Do you know if the 85 Turbo & 85 NA AFMs are the same?

Sounds like it'll be fun.

Jezz.

Very much doubt it, get down to ya local breakers, cos the 85 model is the series 1, think it's smaller than the Z32 which is 90mm and is the one that's been done before, if ya interested might have some gear for ya, HKS induction kit's, HKS exhausts and suspension gear all for the S13 and S14, e-mail me if interested, Smithy
