Power light flashing on jap auto??!!!!!????!???!

Does anybody know why the "POWER" light flashed a load of times at me tonight when I started the Z, and then drove like a bag of s#!t for a while after? I know it is somthing to do with the auto box, I think!

    That is an auto diagnostic code but depends on how many flashes etc.

    Keep an eye on it for next time is all I can suggest.

    It is the car telling you there is something wrong with the speed sensor. Shortly you will notice the power steering packing up and the speedo dropping to zero for no apparent reason.

     

    The speed sensor is mounted on the drivers side of the gearbox and can be replaced from underneath the car. They are not expensive and reasonably easy to fit if you are dextrous.
