Having tried patches, gum and crawling up the walls and biting everyones head off + almost killing a cheeky git who push in at the garage. I couldn't manage to give up smoking.

Having smoked from the grand old age of 11 (boy I thought I was hard. What a nob head) I realised for my own sake I got to quit. I tried all sorts and never been able. The craving would drive me nuts.

Someone suggested hypnosis. A first I thought :xxx: no way. Since then I checked a few thinks out and was amazed at what medical science is actualy using proper Hypnotism for and the results sounded two good to be true. So I thought I'd give it a go. I recon its the best £250 I've ever spent. From being a 30 ciggies a day man I'm cured after one session. Unbeleavable but true. I sat there and just felt relaxed. I could here everythink he was saying and was thinking. What an idiot I was giving money to a guy who is talking boll**ks to my sub conscious. (like ye) but beleave me it bl**dy works

My good lady still smokes it don't bother me, I can enjoy a good few drinks, I've had arguments, basically done everything that would normally cause me to reach for a fag and not once have I had any desire for one at all its brill. I'm just a none smoker. Its well wierd but really good.

Anybody else tried hypnosis?

A Big Hammer??  :slap: :nono:

Ive got mates who've given up thru hypnosis too.

The power of the sub conscious mind is amazing, innit.

Helps not just smoking but depression , anxiety, phobias etc.

Just now, think of a lemon - a nice juicy fresh lemon and

cut it in half and sink ya teeth in - taste the bitter juice?

Feel any saliva in ya mouth?

The power of thought.

God what am i goin on about! hehe

All sorts of cheesy stuff that you know is true but its that cheesy you just don't think you think like that. one thing that will always stick in my head and really knock me about emotionaly. they get you to do mental exercises like ya man Trevz says about the lemon. Then the hypnotist said to me "your in the park with ya kids" (then you have to imagine it all and you think your doing an other lemon senses thing and) " your kids are all sat on a bench and I want you to promise to each of them that you will never smoke again" and lots more, but it really works

Interesting. I could do with finding something that works too. I think some peeps are more susceptible to hypnosis than others as I have friends it hasn't worked for.

All this talk of stopping smoking is getting to my sub-concious, and telling me i need a smoke!!!!!

I'm told everybody can be hypnotised, but it only works if you want it to. Which sounds stupid because I was thinking all the time I wish he could hypnotise me because I didn't think I was  Anyway its just like mechanics. Some are good and some are crap.

Guys, sorry to say this but it doesn't work. I tried patches, I tried gum I tried inhaler and hypnosis.

You gotta go cold turkey, it's the only way. yeah you go through hell but after smoking 20 a day for many years and now not having a single puff of anything ;) for over two years I can honestly say I feel great. I have my sense of smell back (so good in fact that I know when I receive a package from someone if they were smoking at the time they wrapped it - and yes Chris you were when you sent my apexi induction ;) ), I know longer cough up piles of shite when I have a cold or cough, I can now run 5 miles in 42 mins (personal best so far). My asthma is almost gone and I don't have to paint my white living room ceiling as much.

My juicy fresh lemon tasted just like chocolate orange. Is there something wrong with me?

I dun'arf fancy a cigar. Is there subliminal messages in this thread?!
