recommendations for a list of mods for 300zx TT?

price to work with right now $10,000 for internal mods

already got new intercooler, ecu chip is on the way, and akimoto air filter, and dual 4inch exhausts

list of things to do soon

1. change out my chrome rims, try to reduce about 50 + lbs

2. get my exhaust repaired (has a hole in it =T )

3. get a indash video gps system (any recommendations?)

4. custom box for my dual jbl 12' subs

5. veilside side skirts and back

6. paintjob (yellow lol)

7. replace all the wiring in the car

8. swap 5-speed for a 6-speed tranny.

Mr Money bags...

1. ok, but I wouldn't just do it for weight unless you are going to race, in which case you'd look into 18s" to fit big brakes behind.

3. The Alpine still has a better system, not that I have one yet, speak with Bob about that.

4. Get a box that allows you to fit the roof panels in the boot.

5. Why just sides and back and not the front?

6. Yellow is banned now, it's common as muck, there were three at the last meet! You can't have the same as me!!! 8)

7. WHY? - The engine harness alone costs £330 quid + fitting

8. LOL - 6 speed box will probably cost you all of that mate and you'll probably have to change up/down more often and get more turbo lag. And learn Japanese to make the order!

I'm not Mr. Money Bags, I jus sold my 99 camry, so i have extra cash.

the 300zx I bought for only $5,000 from a good friend.

1. I plan to race and I am looking for 18's to lighten weight, and to help improve gas milage, and chrome is not really my style.

3. I said indash gps, alpine's not the only one who makes them either.

5. cause I think the front is being played out, too much show gun style is around, plus I already have a front spoiler on there that looks really good, why replace something if you're happy as is?

6. The only yellow car in my area is a Ferrari 355 Spyder, definately not overplayed here =)

7. Pet peeve I guess, but it's something I'd feel more secure with, since the car itself has over 150k miles on it, rebuilt engine, new turbo's, might as well redo all the wiring while at it.

8. this can come later, but again it's a pet peeve thing, and I'm Korean / Japanese so........... it's already natural =)

lol - now you've been told Jez.... smile.gif

I have, I have, LOL!

"and I'm Korean / Japanese so........... "

So, ahhh - we now know someone to order our parts from Japan... now look what you've let yourself in for, LOL!

I was shown this great Japan wheels page a couple of days ago, can't understand it much... starting with Nismos... http://www.volkracing.co.jp/lineup/nismo/gt4.htm

Where do you live?

BTW - I know Alpine's not the only one, it's seams to be one of the better ones available in the UK.

Bwahahaha sorry about this but you want to reduce weight by wheels and then add it on in the boot with big 12 inch subs?? that would be more than 50 lbs and all in the rear? lol

haha anyways I want a ride that's fast and nice to drive everyday smile.gif

I want to race but then I also want to take it to the tracks, they say you shave off 0.1 of a second for every 100lbs you take off, so the rims would get me even a lil off i'm happy, kinda makes up for the subwoofers =)

If I really need I made it easy to take out the subs if I really need to for the tracks.
