Now I fitted this what can I reasonably boost up to?

Would you think 15.5 or 14.5 psi?

Does the JWT chip raise the redline too?

Does anyone have any info on these.

Ta very much

I believe the redline is increased to 7200 (as apposed to 7000) and you can boost to about 15 - 15.5psi maximum, but then you'll need bigger injectors and aparently the turbos become very inefficent above that.

I would personally set high boost around 14.0 - 14.5 to try and leave a bit of a safety margin. Just be careful when setting up and also you might need to retard the timing a little.

You won't need to retard the timing with the JWT.

It's stupid rich and very retarded at the top end.

Jeff, at Zedworld is fitting the HKS EVC Boostr controller next monday - Ill ask him to set high boost to 14.5psi max.

I can play around with it then

Id have a go at fitting myself if I could work out where to put the boost pipes to. Electrically its not a prob but vacuum hoses I aint got a clue with - rather pay an expert to do it.

Yea it's not hard if you know how but if you get it wrong u may have one dead engine.

In my opinion (which counts for diddly squat;) ) the power increase above 14.5 would be marginal and not worth the extra strain on the engine. But i know some people run around 15psi at the same spec with no problems.

Absolutely bang on!!! The power increase compared to the decreased turbo life just aint worth it! The turbo will run much hotter, you'll blow a bit more air in, but at the same time that air will be much warmer due to the inefficiency of the compressor at those pressures, so the net power increase will be bugger all....

Is this the point where the bigger intercooler would come in?
