I'd slated SE's in a post earlier today, on another thread. Mac1 edited it - sorry matey, I didn't mean to go off on one but lost my temper a bit. Tried to PM you but can't on this board

arry, many moons ago we had a member that slated any company he could get his teeth into, and as a result of it 300zx had around 7 letters sent from lawyers representing various companys.

As a committee member I will be held responsible for any potential legal action taken.

FFS! I could go on about just about every main dealer, car tuner, garage, gearbox specialist etc.

Middlehurst for example, they are the only UK official importer to sell the Skylark but could they sort my 300 out? NO! Arriva Nissan in Peterborough, recommended to me by Luke at the Z centre, could they sort my car out? NO! Always trying to fleece me for maximum green to do f\/ck all to fix the car.

I can understand that some people have had bad experiences with certain garages but what you should take into account is that SE/Silvia Engineering/Nisstech whatever...have been around for a bloody long time and I think that you will find that although their customer service isn't the dogs they probably have more satisfied customers than disgruntled! IMHO.

FFS! My local Nelson Mainfella won't even look at 300's anymore since my mate Dave left who was the only specialist qualified to work on them. So think yourselves lucky that people like Pete are still even willing to try and maintain these cars in the first place otherwise you would all be more than up sh1t creak! ;)

So your saying it's the best of a bad bunch then Tim? :D

Don't get me started on Captain Kirk (Merc) dealers and the episode of having a sunroof motor and throttle cable fitted! LMFAO :)

Hi tim is that Dave Buckley

Yeah mate, that be him. Me and Dewi (FASTREDZ) have been helped out by the great one many a time, even after he stopped working for Nelson in Abergele.

Haven't spoken to Dave in ages, last I heard he was working for Vauxhall in Colwyn Bay. Top bloke is our Dave! ;)

perhaps its just you Timmy ;) :D

LMFAO, shaaaahhhhh right...and another 10,000 or so Kirk owners to back me up according to the JD poll! ROFLMFAO :)

understood matey - shall keep :x: from now on :)

With regards to se's customer service, i ordered a thermostat

from them, nothing major i know. Still took 'em a month to

send it to me! Had already paid up front for it so had to sit

& wait.....a month! More inconvienience than anything else, but

they couldn't offer any ''believable'' explanation as to why it

as taking so long, so therefore they have lost a potential future

customer......me! They also charged me £27 for it, have since seen them

for around a tenner or so (genuine)!

They don't seem to be the only ones though, a mate of mine has a

VW Golf, sent it to ''Dubsport'', a reputable v-dub tuner, for an

engine swap, was quoted £6k & 6weeks to do, took 'em 7 months!!!

In which time the car was seriously damaged needing a new wing,

bonnet, door, h'lamp! Not to mention a respray!! The guy even drove

from Oxford to Wigan to see his car & was told it's not here & you

can't see it?!

3yrs later the saga has finally ended, the guy who did the repairs

after ''Dubsport'' damaged it, took 'em to court because they refused

to pay his bill (he originally sprayed it b4 the engine swap), after 3yrs

of farting about, they settled up out of court.

In this day & age there is no need to put up with shite service

from anybody, there is always someone else who is capable of

doing the job for you.......properly!
