hi every one, just thought id share this with you all as it concerns everyone with a zed.

looking every where for an insurance quote this year was with liverpool victoria but they quoted me 1000 this year, last year it was 700 full comp?

anyway sacked them off and had a quick look through the insurance threds on here, found one saying ring (houghton insurance and ask for ''ken salmon'') did so and over the moon with the quote he said he'd given me a discount for being a zed member!

619.00 full comp, unlimited millage, alloys and other mods declared, 91, twin turbo (import) 5 years ncb, 26, cat 1 alarm!!

this has taken the burden off the insurance this year and well pleased, he said they,ve started to do alot for 300zx.co.uk club and will be offering discounts to all (members) , I told him i would post something about this level of service on here.

Hi,

First post 'n all, 300zx virgin, so go easy on me.

I've got a list of jap cars that I'm working through and weeding out the nasty ones (like the FWD FTO - gads; and the 4WD/4WS GTO - xpensive).

Insurance is a biggie for me, being 24 (tomorrow), and only having 2yrs no claims (no convictions).

I'm seeing the name Houghton mentioned a lot in conjuction with cheap quotes. Would it be safe to say I'd be looking at close to £1k FC on a 300zx TT?

How happy am I with Houghton? Very.

£440 with all mods declared!

Thats cut down my insurance bill by £1100!!!

Nice. :)

Thanks for the tip TTOP!!

Spoke to Robert as Ken is part time. Robert actually viewed my rides section to take details, plus I added forged pistons and 350 rwhp and quoted they me ....

£450.

That's £330 less than Greenlight. 300 quid saving is a months worth of vodka for me so I'me chuffed. Milage limit is 5K which is 2k less than Greenlight but my car spends most of it's time at SE/Nisstek anyway....

Cheers, best result I've had this year.

Edds.

Mine just came through this week too. 28yrs, classic car policy, uk TT manual, 10k mile limit, £428 Fully Comp. Last year it was £503.
