Came across this: the Nissan Infiniti G35 Coupe and Sedan. Nice looking and the coupe is 280 BHP, uses the 350Z floorpan and engine. Sadly it's not available in the UK but no doubt importers will bring it to Britain.

Make sure you visit the showroom on the 2nd link to see the gallery of pics. I'm really impressed by it's looks. From the side it's almost the same as the 350Z but the front and rear I think is nicer. The interior is obviously based on the 350! May be it will be a better replacement for the 300ZX in the years to come.

Not too sure about the rear end, looks a bit renault-ish for my likeing. But other than that it's pretty nice.

i'm sure i read something a long, long time ago about this being the next generation skyline. the guy who wrote the article was up in arms because it has lost the trademark twin round rear lights

In Japan this IS the new Skyline.......but don't worry, 'cos there's always been a large "family" of Skylines (even on previous generations). This one comes in various specs including a 4-door.

 

It is NOT, however, the new GTR, although the GTR will be based on the coupe version shown here. The new GTR will, I'm fairly sure, retain the trademark round taillights and 4-wheel drive. That's not due until 2007 though!!

 

However, I really like this one too! A couple of the monthly car mags (Evo and Car, I think) ran an article last month about NISMO versions of both the 350Z and G35 coupe.

 

Pity they don't sell it over here under the Infiniti brand.

I've got some pics of this Skyline fully kitted up with Vailside kit off their web site. Looks realy cool. Much nicer than the 350Z. It's a bit longer than the 350z as it a proper 2+2. However it is not the basis for the New GTR as previously stated. That will be a stand alone model and will not share a monocock with anyother model.
