can anyone help me with basic GUI layout, frames in frames, setting up a grid and aligning stuff etc. I have done some of it in netbeans but need help getting it to look right. If you can help PM or e mail me and i will send you the code and tell you what i want.

Explain frames in frames. You mean the Add.boarder.NORTH and all the gubbins?

Dream weaver does that pretty well, you set up the page as you want and it writes the code for you, also wont encrypt the code like other programs

I thought dreamweaver only generated HTML? didnt know it did java.

Its does but only simple Java stuff for webs, like buttons and stuff. It doesnt make JPanels and stuff
