Press it in and the revs will hold on for longer before changing gear. Ie, instead of changing at 2500rpm it will hold on to a lot higher before changing for example 5000

OK....

This is the correct answer!!

Hold: Sets off in second gear (very good for snow/ice) will not allow kick down, changes gear at different points.

Power: Will take it to the redline in every gear before changing up! unless you back right off the throttle. Kicks down with less provocation in general use.

:)

Ive found its something i never need to use really.

I spose 'power' would be handy if you're towing uphill and want to stay in lower gear longer, but who tows with a Z?!

Hold is only usefull on ice and only then if you have no feel in your right foot!

Bit of a gimmick IMO.

:)

Absolutely not a gimmick!!

Hold will allow you to set off in snow, where setting of in normal mode, ie. first gear will cause immediate wheel spin, also much gentler changing on ice.

I know this as I had to drive for 8 miles over snow/ice yesterday, and I can assure you normal mode wasn't cutting it, but Hold was much easier.

Power, is more of a gimmick, as if you boot it in normal it goes into power mode anyway!!

Paul :)

I use hold everyday in traffic or when I dont exactly want to go hurtling round everwherea t top speed. A very nice relaxing drive can be had when using HOLD.

Power is good for when you want optimum all the time.

It works well.

I have an idea - get a MANUAL :D That way you just put it in the gear you want - no faffin about :D
