I was coming home today at speeds of between 60-80 when I cam to a round-a-bout and I went round and tried to pull off hard at the end of it. I was not getting the acceleration I was used to. Looking at the boost I only got about 6-7 psi and was getting nowhere near the usual presure. At the next set of lights, I stopped my enging and started it again and it worked fine.

Is there anything I can look out for? Could this just be a one off incodent? Should I be worried about anything?

Any help will be good

i had the same thing two weeks ago, it hasent done it though since i cleaned up and soldered the ECU temp sensor.

yeeeeeaaaaccchhh oh no i HATE this bloody subject.

Could you tell me where the ECU Temp sensor is Lack??

Here is hoping it is not your knock sensor Stu!

To test if it is the knock knack sensor do this:

(Check ECU by doing this) http://www.ttzd.com/diagnostic.html

Then if you get 34 - knock sensor aaaarggh

If you get 55

try some of mister le hir's swiss magic http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/safetyboost.html

Then cry if it is you det sensor when you have to do this: http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonationSensor/detonationSensor.html

There are lots of other causes for the phenomenon known as safety boost, but I dont know any of them frown.gif

Glen - safety boost...

1. Detonation detected by det. sensor

2. Det sensor failure

3. Coolant temp too low (ECU sensor is leftmost sensor on top coolant hose I think)

Erumm.. Probably more..
