Sorry to raise this one again, but I'm looking for a good deal on a set of boots.

I have 17 x 8" rims with 235 F1s on the front and 255 BF Goodrich on the back. All are going to need replacing soon so I need a hot deal and suggestions for the best grip/wear compromise.

I'm using the car every day to queue up in traffic, then I get to drive it a little bit at the weekends.

Thanks.

...there's a small tyre place where I live - just like many in other places. When I need tyres I tell him the size and spec and he phones round and finds a deal. Usually offers a couple of alternatives - last time it was end of line Pilots at less than half price.

Also worthy of note is the cost to fit. Small places charge x amount to fit a tyre, immaterial of the price of the tyre. Larger establishments charge a percentage of the tyre price - therefore buy from the small guy - with luck, great tyres at half the price...

good luck

Get a price for Falken 451's, good grip and wear.

I have just replaced mine , done 21K on previuos set.

I'll big up Falkens also,

I had em on both my cars, one being a 250 bhp MR2 turbo and anyone who knows these beasts will know how much they eat the rears.

The Falkens stuck like shit to a blanket and gave me well over 10,000 miles on the rears. Most brands are lucky to see 6,000!

Buy some and spend the saving on some beer tokens!

Justin:)
