Cam Belts being done

Are there any other jobs that are worth doing whilst the cam belts are being done?

Thermostat, and the water feed pipes behind the water pump.

Cheers chaps - all requested. Hopefully back on the road by Thursday - their garage party permitting.

was told thermostat, inlet hoses.

whois doing it?

Well it went in today. Oil seals, cam belts, water pump, thermostat and pipes. The speed sensor is back on line but the wipers have decided to park vertically. Thursday was a tad optimistic - they want it for three or four days. Still it means the drive way is clear for the first Christmas party...

Having had a chat with the garage told them all that had gone wrong - there first thought was to suspect some front end impact at some time they are going to run it through an MOT first to try and assess if the car is a ringer in some way. There seem to be too many little faults on a 13 year old 44 thousand mile car.

Jefgo - it's being done by World Wide Motors in Newport Pagnall.

They're gonna run it through an MOT test to see if its a ringer? You sure? How does testing the brakes and general running gear tell them if the car has had its VIN plate changed??? I think they're talking from a pigs bottom rear end....

Sorry Andy wrong term - not ringer I meant suspect / written off / unsafe.

Gotcha ;) Although still, an MOT is more for the running gear of the car rather than whether the chassis is straight or not. An HPI check would be a FAR better idea for finding this information - although still not 100% ;)
