we do kick boxing at our club too, had a couple of fights when i was younger which i won - real rush being in a ring in a full contact bout (please - no full contact in your ring jokes ;) :D ).

used to be that the kick boxing class was full of nutters that wanted to have a ruck, now its full of women & teenagers that think its fashionable to keep fit by doing it

Jeremy Clarkson being arrested and found guilty of fraud, libel and slander and as a punishment letting some of you guys loose on him

See thats what i mean there is no point going to learn martial arts unless ur allowed to spar full contact as u never learn how to fight unless u know how it is in reality.

If your going to learn martial arts because its fashionable then there are loads of other forms. Kick boxing in my eyes has to be full contact or atleast semi (with right padding and guarding of course) other than that its not intresting and enjoyable.

At simon lau it was full contact but it was all controlled so no1 ever got hurt other than slight bruising which is alright as ur learning to condition ur body so the phrase is right where it says "no pain no gain":D

Paul your right there. U get a buzz being in a ring when sparring with others, u learn and pick up so much.

If i had the time these days i would join up and learn but life is just to hectic these days. Cant stick to regular classes the only thing i get is a workout in the gym and even then i struggle to make it regularly.

I hate it when things like that become fashionable.

I know a few people who do/did this Ti-Bo and now they think they know a martial art, but when I see them kick their legs are all bent and limp. Probably doing more damage than good to their body doing that.

What is your problem mate, as the Midlands rep you sure got an attitude to me..

my zed is currently off the road waiting for a quote for it to be jigged so i can drive it, (it's not safe at the mo)

whilst it's off the road it will be getting a new clutch, brakes, handbrake sorted and headlights aligned,

I just miss my f**king car that's all... get you're facts straight before slagging somebody off

I used to fence foil, I was getting quite good and had beaten a couple of people ranked top 100UK. After pulling my rotator cuff and damaging my wrist in unrelated incidents I gave it up, but my wrist is nearly back to normal and I'm tempted to take it up again,

Aikdio has always interested me in its purest form, I've never been interested in hurting people but the humiliatoin in decking someone without realling hurting them has always appealed :), I've been saying for about 2 years i'm going to take it up, but who knows.

Sambo is also interesting http://cclib.nsu.ru/projects/satbi/satbi-e/martart/sambo.html I believe it is used my the ground troops in israel.

A job would be nice, failing that how about a win on the lottery.

Someone to come and do the huge list of niggling jobs on the Z and refurb the alloys and mint it up.
