I was checking and cleaning in the engine bay this afternoon and I found the large fan at the front has a very big crack almost going through it, I would expect I need too replace, any idea how much and are thet readilly availible. How much work is involved to replace it, I won't be doing it myself.

Cheers

The fan is about $45 in the states if I remember right. Most old fans have small cracks around the base. If you have a large crack smile.gif then it may be wise to change it.

Some guys in the states have replaced the fan and tried to break the old one but found it was made of strong stuff.

P.S. Don't gob in me salmon mousse when I visit...only joking yer! LMFAO!

It's easy to replace it if you sit on the top of the engine...

You'll get the right angle for your hands to reach the screws then.

There are 4 screws holding it to the fan clutch.

You don't have to remove the fan shroud or the radiator.
