Oh that's just dandy that is ! ! !

 

Received my tickets this morning (thanks 300z) and lo and behold... looks like I won't be able to join in. Why you ask??? Cause in BIG BOLD letters it say's "YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW YOUR DRIVING LICENCE". Fantastico ! What's the chance the pigs will return it to me by then? F*** all I'd say. P*ss*ng perfect !

 

So the question is.. do I hang in there and hope my licence arrives in time.. or do I put 'em up for sale - any buyers out there?

 

(Those that have had points added to their licence... how long did it take for them to return yours?)

 

 

Do you know what your driver number is on your licence?

Mine for example is LEY99***********

You may be able to give em that at Traxs and explain the situation.

Last time I had points it took around 3-4 weeks I think.

Well as it say's 'Full Current' without the use of 'British', I'd take that to mean irrespective of country issue.

I dont know whether this will help Jay but when I hired a lorry to move house had the same problem.

The hire co had a number they could ring at DVLA to confirm I held a full current UK Licence.

I would call the circuit and find out if they can offer similar, I can go down to the rental company and find out the number if you like.

if not fake one i say take a photocopoy of your brothers or something they wont check

Thanks 300z, much appreciated. As for the photocopy idea... it's a long way to go only to find I'm turned away at the last minute... which would be the most likely outcome.

Not only does it take ages (mine 6 weeks) to get my licence back. The points were *%&king HAND WRITTEN!!! Could have done it myself!

HAND WRITTEN!??? Then why the hell do they need it for weeks !?? Can't they just get a 5 year old to do it? Crikey ! Only takes them 6 mins to pull you over and write a ticket ! I can't believe how angry the fuzz are making me lately.

I ALSO AM WAITING FOR MY LICENCE!!!

But i have contacted DVLA about the delay in getting of those pic card ones, again and they can do this for us:-

They are sending a fax with all my details to Steve & Lucy who run Trax. Then they can decide Y or N.

I will know on tuesday, so give DVLA a call on 0870-6006661 and arrange for DVLA to fax Trax direct! Apparently this is quite a common situation due to the amount of birthday (track go presents etc)& hubbies licence is at DVLA.

Mine were also hand written - the state my license is in it would have got chewed by the printer When I got pulled it took the copper (wanker peice of scum sucking shit) couldn't fold it properly to go back in the envelope Obviously these coppers have so many A levels they loose all their common sense???
