Let my self get beaten by a Supra :(

Was my own fault, caught up to this guy, thought he was gonna go for it and he didn't, so I stuck the car in 5th and poddled behind, when woosh off it went. Couldn't be arsed to change down to 4th, but I saw he was in 3rd or 4th when he pulled away as you could see the puff off black smoke when he changed up.

Feel I should disable my 5th gear, but too be fair he didn't get too far ahead but there was no way I could catch up

To top my sad day off, on the way home my zed decided to sound like it was running on 3 cylinders. Made boost and noticed an air leak, so limped the car home .... just.

Popped the bonnet and after checking the obvious hoses found a bolt sitting on the balance bar, yes the bolt had come undone. Think Mr  has been working part-time at SE again. Did the balance bar up and car appears fine again. Bloody lucky to find that in the dark.

Oh well taking my zed into work again tomorrow, I might sit in a layby near Brentwood and wait for this Supra to turn up :D

Please stay on topic Ryan:rolleyes:

Took the Zed in today, but sadly notihing worthy of it's attention. Fortunatly bolting the balancing bar up tight sorted the wacky running the car had on the way home last night. Phew!!

Moral of this story is ...

always be in the right gear!

(sorry, but that kind of rules out all of you auto box drivers doesn't it!!!!)

Does it *****cks rule us out! In fact the complete opposite...

Two cars - one manual one auto, drivers sitting with hands on wheel, as you do, on say a motorway ;)

Time how fast it takes to get to Xmph faster - auto will win easily. Plant you foot and the gear change is instant, no fannying about.

I was going to say this but though fook it dont want to start up another manual vs. auto flame war.

But NigelBoyd, id love to be enlightened on how you think your manual is always in the right gear, with no driver involvement??????
