Ok people,
Here it is! Have finally had a set of headlight inserts vacuum metalized(not chromed), and have been told that they are like the original finish you get on the headlights on a new car. I am yet to see them with my own eyes, but should have them by Wednesday, at which point I will post some pics.
The company I am dealing with are not sure yet whether they even want to do more of these because their business usually only work on massive bulk orders, but if it that the finish is as good as they say, and I can convince them to do more, how many of you would be interested in having them done.
I have not worked out what the costs will be because I am still trying to agree a price with the company but I can say that it will not be more than £200 for the pair. If you decide to split the headlights yourself, and just send me the inserts, it will obviously be cheaper, but I will deal with that when I get to it.
So post away and let me know.
Remember, this subject stems from a long time back. Several people, including myself have used chrome vinyl and have been very happy with the improvement of the headlight beam. The only problem is that the surface of the vinyl brings imperfections due to the elements, so this is a sure fire way of stopping it from happening and improving your visibility when driving in the dark.
Cheers
Cos
