Not nice I know but hit a pheasant just after I bought my Saab doing about 80 , the thing exploded and riped my undertray in half tried to clean the bits out as best as possible but could smell parts of it cooking for about a week later :(

Oh dear. Still, look on the bright side: road-kill rabbit for dinner would surely sort that hangover out! :)

I hit a pheasant once with a police car coming the other way. I'm sure there's some funny law where you're not allowed to keep them, but if you jank it out the rad and leave it by the side of the road, anyone else can have it. I never found the head

Well, last week was driving from LA to Grand Canyon, late in the night, pitch black, eyelids are becoming pretty heavy.

I was going about 70ish I guess when I went round this bend and there was a BLOODY GREAT STAG right in the middle of the road! This thing was huge and standing just in the middle of the road. I skidded and swerved and just missed it. It wouldn't have been a pretty sight for the stag or me if I had hit it.

Makes a mental note " to look out for stags" off to the states on Fri, get meself some goodies.:D

St Louis, got some family out there. not back till new year, gonna miss driving the zed. gonna be using some piece of US junk their version of the cavilier........Nice! lol:rolleyes:

Sounds like a generic stag-night to me (fnarrr!) :D

Coming back from a night on the town in London one day, a monk jack deer decided he wanted a headache and we hit him doing about 60, unfortunately there was a plod car behind us so we had to stop. Luckily they realised there was nowt we could have done and there was no damage done to the car, amazing really.

I once had a pheasant hit the windscreen whilst doing 90 on the M25. I saw the fecker take off from the hard shoulder, I couldn't avoid it so I accelerated and moved as far right as possible. At least it came through the passenger side of the screen:D

When I stopped, I noticed one of its toenails had got stuck in the rubber surround and its leg was still there:eek:

Still, it left some decent "Viper-style" red stripes right over the (white) car:D :D

Poor autoglass fitter had to clean up the mess:D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

When I was a lad, me Dad hit a deer (or actually, the other way around) on Box Hill... totally wrote off the front quarter, 600 quid to fix, deer galloped off (or pronked off, or whatever they do), not such much as a slight limp.

(You'll be pleased to hear it was a Datsun - a Stanza, in ridiculous yellow. Whatever happened to the Stanza? Good cars.)
