Vigdal, unless your planning on coming over to the UK for a few months, then surely there must be someone in Norway capable of this, rebuilding the Zed engine is really no different to any other performance one, the complexity is more in the removal and refitting as far as i'm concerned.

cheers

Smithy; thanks a lot. My problem is that I am already involved with SE Nissan. They have finished the engine rebuilding, but I am not satisfied. That is why I would like to get in contact with someone in the UK having done the same as myself.

Do you know someone to put me in contact with ?

Thanks

Rune

Oh gawd  erm tell us alittle of the problem as quite a few here have spent their hard earned cash at SE and hopefully we can offer some UNBIASED opinions or help and proceed from there.

MY EXPERINCE IS THAT T TAKES SO LONG UNTIL THEY FINISH JOBS, AND MORE SERIOUS; THE Y GIVE ME THE IMNPRESSION THAT THEY DON`T CARE. THEY RECEIVED MY CAR IN MAY 2003 AND RETURNED IT END JUNE WITH HEAVY REBUILDING UP TO 580 HP. AFTER JUST ONE MONTH THE CAR BROKE DOWN, IT SEEMS THAT ONE OF THE CONRODS BROKE DOWN.

I PAID £12K FOR THE REBUILDING, AND AFTER BRINGING THE CAR BACK TO THEM IN UK FOR GUARANTEE JOB, IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANYWHERE WITH THEM. I DON`T GET MUCH ATTENTION AND THEY SEEM TO GIVE THIS LOW PRIORITY.

I`M CONSIDERING USING A LAWYER TO GET THIS PROJECT COMPLETED. WHAT IS WHY I WOULD LIKE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH OTHER WHO HAS DONE THE SAME REBUILDING JOB. SE NISSAN CLAIM TO HAVE DONE SOMILAR REBUILDING SEVERAL TIMES, SO THERE ARE PROBABLY SEVARAL OUT THERE WITH THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS ME.

Okay right well spending 12K at SE certainly puts you in a position of higher importance as a customer in my opinion and considering how far you've travelled most definately.

They seem to have completed the first main job quite quickly it's just now the "after care"

Mac 1 here as Traders liason officer seems to be able to help with customers at SE sort out any problems can i suggest you mail him with as much details as possible of your problems and ask if he can help, in the meantime you need to gather up all the info you have on conversations, phonecalls etc and prepare a letter to SE stating your facts and what you would like to happen, at the end of the letter state what you are prepared to do if you do not receive any satisfaction within say 7 days. If Mac is unable to get any better news for you, then send the letter to SE by RECORDED delivery. You can then honestly say you have given them a chance to rectify matters, still no joy, then as you say it is upto a lawyer to sort out for you and you have a copy of the letters you sent SE to pass onto to him. As for anyone here spending that amount on a rebuild and mods, i know of knowone on this forum.

Good luck with this and i hope that Mac maybe able to help you.

cheers

SMITHY;

THANKS FOR WISE RECOMMENDATIONS. I WILL GO FORWARD WITH THIS, THANKS

RUNE

Rune,

Do you have CAPS LOCK buttons in Norway ?

We have them in England but we don't use them very much. I think it's the climate.

Dave

I've had problems with engine work from SE's on my 200..... kept throwing big ends after rebuilds. Now workin on another engine cos they kinda admitted defeat on the first and never really did get to the truth of the matter after pullin it to bits endless times.... jinxed i guess.

But they have always honoured warranty work.... admittedly it doesnt take top priority with them which, of course, you're gonna find annoying - especially when you've paid the bill and want the goods:mad: , but thats just the way they are/have been to me (dont know which is more accurate)

Smithy,

I may be wrong, but isn't MAC's engine still at SE having a major rebuild?

Now I know that he's a charming, tactful fella, but might I suggest that he isn't necessarily the right man to fight this cause?

Just a thought!

Nope quite the opposite, Mac has A very GOOD affiliation with SE and has helped quite a few guys with their probs, including me, he seems to find out the truth and is there to help as liasons officer for traders alike including SE. So in short if anyone can find something out down there, HE CAN ;)

Smithy

12k ?!?!

Jeez !! That's a lotta money !!
