Just a quick question,

Who has actually got the fastest 1/4 mile time on here? I mean u keep reading about all these big Z's having big power, but have never seen any timing slips to prove it. In my mind the likes of pete shrimps got one of the best, and thats just pathetic! Comeon boys post ya times.

Never done the 1/4 so I wouldn't know.

 

I think this applies to about 80% of us here as well.

Thanks mate :) IMO A sound engine is worth a lot on the strip/rollers etc - look at Stuarts RR BHP figure on stock boost for an example.

 

13.517s @106.26mph is my best, though I've only had a couple of runs since raising the boost so I'm confident of going quicker :)

Oh i don't have a time, my Z's never been running that great. I was just saying we seem to have alot of nice Z's poping up and yet no 1/4 times. Especially if we're gunna be whooping the gto club, practice makes perfect and all that.

 

Would also like to see if the somewhat "big" z's with uprated turbos actually do get much better,with 2wd traction and all that.

I got 1/4 mile in 14.9 @ 87 mph. Which is laughable. Skiddy pod for ya.

Well Simon should be getting his back soon which will hopefully be about 500 - 600 BHP.

 

I'll also have a word with Andy as he's car should be back in two weeks, that's gonna be a 650ish BHP beast apparently.

 

It's also gonna look the nuts, well as good as it can with a wide ar$e anyway LOL :D :dance:

My non turbo got high 15`s, low 16`s

I'm such a girl... I dunno if I wanna do 1/4's in case my box blows up (gearbox, not my @nus!.. although that's possible too). Might be kinda quick on a track, but certainly not with me driving! ;)

There where Fiestas there because they probalby had a chance in their category.

 

300ZXs are very cheap at the momeny and people who have got the money to spend £20,000-£30,0000 to really tune up a car to show off will spend it on a Skyline or Supra as the car is worth more in the first place.

 

Plus the Z is not that easy to tune, or cheap, because of the V configuration and the cramped engine bay.

 

If all goes well, there maybe one mean 300ZX there. ;)
