Spent some time today sifting through the wrecks of 7 dead zeds and was major surprised to see the level of corrosion on them underneath especially the Uk spec one`s?

One in particular would defo failed an Mot and it was a 1994!! how do owners let them get so bad? Found lots of blue leather seats and trim, engines and body parts on my trip, lucky parts are available but the salvage yards are getting gready, one was asking £700 for leater seats + Vat!!! and the T tops were out and the seats wet!

Hi,

My car was a 1990 import, and I can honestly say that it didn't have any corrosion underneath at all!

Having seen underneath when luke fitted my exhausts, it looked like a virtually new car!Despite the relative lack of underseal.

They can rot underneath the rear spoiler, as the foam material collects water like a sponge, with age.

On my car the rear spoiler had been replaced with a fibreglass one of the same design.I would recommend wax-oiling the rear tailgate as a precaution, and making sure the drain holes are clear.

Tim Mate I`ve been to the end of the world and back......or so it seems.......its like an indiana Jones adventure in serch of the holy Zed...how come every zed I find has the very bitz missing I want???? Started the search in north Staffordshire and ended up in Luton! got so in to it forgot I had to pick the wife up from work and ended up doing a Monti-Carlo rally back home.Jeff TT

Heres a good one for you then:

Go to this web site: http://www.1stchoice.co.uk/

...or phone them. They'll ask what you're after, and what car its on, then take your mobile number, and you'll get SMS'd by any breakers yards that have it! (Ok, so you're not gonna get ALL the UK's yards, but its a good start and saves 20 phone calls, saying exactly the same thing each time!)

O yeah....the SMS's also tell their all-in price (i.e VAT & Delivery)

Si.

Have you called ZXtra (www.zxtra.co.uk). Think they do mainly Z31's, but could be worth a try. What are you after ?
