I understand that word has got around the forum I was buying a Stillen engine:rolleyes:

1 I was not aware that Stillen even sold an engine as such!

2 I said I was having a serious HP conversion done!

3 The time has now come for this to take place:dance:

Only for a very short time;)

This is gonna sound a bit stupid, but I'm kinda hoping my box will live a bit longer if I don't keep doing hard kick-downs all the time. I don't think it's the peak bhp that's the problem - it's where the torque is on such a massive rise that the poor box is gonna be straining. We'll see.

Stillen engine?! Come on, who started that one?! (not me, BTW).

You realised at last that the only way to have a fast car is to have a manual box? You've came to your senses at last :D

Just to know there are autoboxes for the Z that are good for a 1000hp.I have a friend that has 1 but cost him around 4k but he doesn't care he has spent around 30-35k on mods.

Pambos, seriously mate....

Can someone tell the story of autos vs manuals and red vs any other colour to Mr Pambos?

It's a Precision Industries Autobox. That's what they told us we haven't test it on 1000hp up until now it's runnig 0n 550hp but George at boost solutions has 1 on his car and his car must kick more than 700hp

I used to have an auto and now i'm converting so it's not something personal i prefer manual but have been on his car and it's great. There will be an article on a mag this month i'll post some pics if you want
