I have autoglass coming out on tuesday to see if they can repair my windscreen, £65.51 (im not covered by insurance)

In the event it isn't repairable I've been quoted £342.60 for a OEM replacement part, Can anyone recommend a cheaper route :) (its UK glass and I want to keep the blue tint)

Cheers guys.

its a crack from the botton (above the 100mph on the speedo) it extends in a small arc about 7cm, ill go measure it now,

should be repairable mike, is it a recent crack or has it been there for a while? if its old the repair can be more visable.

its 7cm, its about 5 days old :)

I like to get stuff sorted out quick on these cars, heres to them fixing it, if they repair it ill buy some decat pipes ;)

in that case, bring it down to me, ill fix it & you can buy me some decat pipes :D :D :D

Hi,

I had a crack about 4-5 cm, had autoglass out and they said they can only fix chips (they use some sort of resin i think). Cracks need a replacement screen. Also if the crack is near the area around the drivers head it is illegal to drive the car!

i can fix cracks ;) (ooh er)

the resin we use is very fine & flows into the crack by capilery action. :)
