I'm after a JWT style dual pop setup but have a Blitz filter I'd like to keep and don't need the JWT ECU either.

Does anyone know where I can get the bits to assemble my own?

Pipe bends, dummy MAF pipe and fittings for a second Blitz SUS?

Will 2 Blitz filters fit in the space?

Also I'm broke so for free would be nice :D LOL

Chris.

ask for gary and tell him what you want! he is the co- owner and drives a nice zx!

Chris,am going to be needing one myself however I dont think that two blitz filters will fit,I could be wrong though;)

Ahh Chris, i knew there was something else you asked me about, this was it ;) anyway i looked into this in great depth after being asked by a couple guys here and after playing about on me Zed this is what i found.

Using 2 tight radius silicone bends of the intake pipes, a dummy maf for the other side and 2 of the cones i was using, it was just mm away from being perfect, these cones are just marginally smaller than Blitz. So tighter bends were needed and i could see why some guys in the US cut a couple of inches of the intake pipes to make this easier, so getting 105 degree bends is not a problem (special order) this would make my cones fit, however with there being 2 of them and they are 110 quid trade, with the other bits involved it was 20 quid just to make, hmm not good and you still couldn't use Blitz. Then i thought of Apexi's very good cones and smaller, can i get a decent price on Apexi universals ? no ! So then someone about 12 days ago here posted a link to a Stillen type kit sold in the US for about $180 and i thought "Sod it" can't compete with that and gave up  do a search and you'll find it, nice bit of kit it looked too. Now the Aussie guys who have the same problem (cost of kit) have decided to use larger Maf's instead cos simply ours are susposed to Max out around the mid to high 400's being 3 inch diameter right through, the mathematical table used for working out max power of an AFM means a 4inch AFM shouldn't Max out till about 600bhp and that's what many are using now, how do you get one ? erm buy if from Aussie land as they are custom made and sold on an exchange basis, However i have looked into this as well :D as you do and it all seems quite easy, just need an old AFM to do it with, which i ain't got at the mo. So if anyones got an old AFM (knackered) i'l happily do it and test it on me own Zed. Hope all that helps, still confused ? yeah so am i :D

cheers

I've got 2 Apexi's on order from Johhny and I'm going to try this when I get them. Going to get a mate to make up the bends with a X pipe then use one good & one knackered MAF to mount the MAF's.

Ran this by a fluid expert at work and he reckoned that a round orifice of the right size fitted into a 2.5" pipe would simulate the pressure drop thorough a MAF OK, but our flow bench has been bust for ages, so can't size one!

Tweak the K value and VQ table in the code and should be OK.

Thanks chaps!

Smithy, errr I am more confused than ever now LOL

All these options seem pretty expensive when it looks like all I need is a couple of bits of silicon hose and a dummy MAF/MAS??

If someone could come up with a kit they'd sell quite a few.... :D

Cheers,

Chris.
