Well I can’t see your chain of though there Andy, although I have looked into it a little. But without your exact figures I can't prove or disprove your hypothesis :D

Cerina - ran first and pushed out:

156 RWHP

209.6 BHP

34% gain at flywheel

Jaffa - pushed out:

221 RWHP

302.3 BHP

37% gain at flywheel

Me - ran 2 cars after Jaffa and pushed out:

253 RWHP

334.9 BHP

32% gain at flywheel

Mike Groves - ran 1 car after me and pushed out:

203 RWHP

263.1 BHP

30% gain at flywheel

So if you look it like that then the Manual gain from RWHP to BHP was an average of 33.5%. But if anything the ealier cars had a greater gain between RWHP and BHP. Obviously I have only quoted Manual figures as we all know the Auto BHP figures were plucked out of the air.

*ahem* There is no difference in the unit of horsepower at the rear wheel or horsepower at the flywheel / crank. They are both brake horsepower. Rear wheel is what they actually measure (if they get it right) at the wheels and flywheel (or crank) horsepower is their estimate of the bhp available before the transmission.

Your figures will be different, naturally - one is the bhp measured at the wheels and the other is the bhp estimated at the flywheel.

Mine should be very similar to this, as posted on another thread by Konrad :-

Max flywheel 326.2 @ 6462

Max Torque @ RPM 293.6 @ 4880

If we are to believe the dyno calcs ....

Well i personally thin kthe dyno's were a little crap and the rollers were worn, so most of the guys with boost upgrades were probably slipping without knowing it.

I mean i'm not sure about the rest of you but if the car slips and you have to add 3 hefty blokes to sit in the boot, the car must weigh more right ?. But why didn't they adjust the weight ?.

Lets wait until we find another dyno and have a forum day.

Yeah, probably wouldn't have noticed if my tyres were spinning - what with the smoke from the exhausts ! LOL :)
