Arighty.. Just got my Z Mmm.. Z Z Z ... Mmm.. Ahem aanyway..

 

Q1. How do you use the cruise control? Should it just be a case of driving along at xxMph, hit "Cruise On" and take your foot off the gas?

 

Q2. Floor it on the Mway, hits 60, and it's like you've jumped off the gas.. Foot off and back on the accelerator, and it'll go up to 80 and do the same.. Now the connectors to the CAS are a little dodgy - reckon that could be it?

 

Other than that, it's fine.. Might need a new set of tie rod bushes (Deja Vu? ) but it don't half fly...

Hi mate,

To use cruise press cruise on, then when your at a speed you want to cruise at press "set" on the steering wheel. Then you can press "accel" to speed up, "coast" to coast and "resume" to go back to the last set speed.

Not sure about your other problem though! May have to check and clean all connectors, ECU test etc.

What model did you get? 2+2, UK, jap....

Not yet - Jay (previous owner) said the ECU wasn't a Mines (hoping it's not - they're said to be engine killers in the UK aren't they..) - but I'll do an ECU diag (and check the chips) tomorrow, along with a tranny diag, aircon diag, clean/renew the CAS connectors (lots of insulation tape - don't look good ), screw the front bumper arch liner back on (flops against the tyre and makes a horrible noise )..

 

Oh yeah, and go find some new front tyres..

 

Oh and fit a new stereo if I have time

Welcome to the world of empty bank accounts and credit card statements so large, that the postman has to knock at your door!

The cruise control isn't much use in this country, although on an empty motorway, it can be a license saver!

Last time I used it was on the M40 in the dark...I pressed the wrong button on the steering wheel and nearly accelerated into the back of a truck!...Doh!

Checked your rides pics and think some of your wheels may be on the wrong way round - rears definitely look odd. Worth checking before you get yer new boots though.

Andy - way ahead of you on the wheels front The rears have loads of tread but are the wrong size (235/50), so I'll get all 4 changed, and the rears swopped round at the local place I trust (not Kwik Fit )..

 

What's at North Weald Sunday, is that the pub meet? Thought that was next sunday?

It's worth getting aftermarket jobbies just to eliminate that nastey "I've got my wheels on the wrong way round feeling"...however, I am gonna come down to your place next week hopefully...packin' a tooth brush mate if the offer is still on? Black Bull Inn? Suits you sir...ohhhh!
