The rolling roads session was great, met lots of new people and had great friendly competition and banter :D

 

This sort of event IMO can really bring a bit of harmony, direction and friendliness to the forum :) and I'd love to have more similar events.

 

I think the bit of competitiveness was a major factor in ensuring a good turnout. Local meets are great, but lethargy is always a factor. Competitive meets almost give more 'incentive' to appear as people make more effort ;) Also the fact that the venue was small helped the fun I reckon.

 

What other events along a similar theme could we have, involving more people? 1/4 mile is a good one (I would say that). Concourse? Track days, any others?

 

Just thinking out loud ;) Any more ideas or comments?

I totally agree with you there Pete.

I mean look how many threads and posts we have relating to it. You don't get that from any other meet, even Billing :eek:.

 

I think the Track day would be great, I hope Srrae can sort something out for us all :D.

Don't forget the Santa Pod meet on 2 Nov :dance:

Yep sounds like there a plenty of people going to Pod on the 2nd :cool:

 

We'll collate the results there too. Fastest 1/4mile time and fastest terminal speed. Should be a good'un :D
